Join us at Bay Leaves Larder for a delicious evening celebrating local wine, artisan cheese and the people who make them.
We’re delighted to be hosting this special tasting evening in collaboration with Longdown, whose beautiful English sparkling wines we’re very proud to stock at the Larder.
For the evening, we’ll be joined by Holly, Longdown’s trainee winemaker and daughter of the vineyard’s owners, who will guide us through a tasting of their two vintage sparkling wines - Longdown White and Longdown Rosé.
As we taste, Holly will share the story of Longdown: the family and vineyards behind the wines, how they’re made, and the journey from grape to glass. Longdown released their very first wines in June 2026, produced from fruit grown at the vineyard they look after in Bishop’s Waltham, alongside their newly planted vineyard in Twyford.
And they’re already making their mark. At this year’s Independent English Wine Awards, the Longdown White was awarded Gold and Best Sparkling White, while the Longdown Rosé received a Bronze medal.
Of course, no sparkling wine tasting at Bay Leaves Larder would be complete without cheese…
Alongside the wines, Sarah and the Bay Leaves team will be creating a beautiful cheese platter, thoughtfully chosen to complement the wines and showcase some of the delicious produce we love.
Expect an easy-going evening of generous flavours, good conversation and a chance to discover something wonderful being made right here on our doorstep.
